UFC 306: O’Malley vs Dvalishvili aka Riyadh Season Noche UFC airs live from Sphere in Las Vegas on Sunday 15 September.
In the main event, bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley (18-1, 1 NC) of the U.S. faces Georgian contender Merab Dvalishvili (17-4). Riding a three-fight winning streak, 29-year-old O’Malley makes the second defence of his title. Winner of his last 10 fights, 33-year-old Dvalishvili makes his first attempt to become champion.
In the co-main event, The Ultimate Fighter 32 opposite coaches, Alexa Grasso (16-3-1) and Valentina Shevchenko (23-4-1) square off in a trilogy fight. Defending women’s flyweight champion Grasso of Mexico defeated former champion Shevchenko of Kyrgyzstan via four-round submission last March. Their rematch at Noche UFC last September was ruled a split draw.
Also on the UFC 306 fight card, a featherweight bout between Diego Lopes (25-6) of Brazil and former title challenger Brian Ortega (16-3) of the United States. As well, Mexican Daniel Zellhuber (15-1) and Esteban Ribovics (13-1) of Argentina battle it out at lightweight. Kicking off the action, Ronaldo Rodriguez (17-2) of Mexico and Ode Osbourne (12-7) of Jamaica clash at flyweight.
